A Beautiful Day on the Course!

Thank you to all who supported the 2026 Golf Fore Homes golf outing on Monday. Not only was the weather perfect, the course challenging, and a great time had by all, but we also raised over $60,000 to support local families with affordable homes!

Finding Land: The First Step to Building Affordable Homes

Before we can build an affordable home, we have to find a place to build it. While construction often gets the spotlight, securing land is one of the biggest challenges we face.

Rising property values and limited available land make it increasingly difficult to create affordable homeownership opportunities. That's why partnerships with generous landowners, municipalities, nonprofits, and community organizations are so essential to our mission.

We're grateful to the partners who have helped make Habitat homes possible. The Ipswich Housing Authority provided surplus land for the upcoming project in Ipswich, while Action Inc. is selling us property below market value for our Gloucester rehab. Haverhill landowner Keith Boucher not only agreed to sell us property but also gave us the time needed to raise the funds to purchase it. And South Church in Andover has partnered with Habitat by providing land that helped create six affordable homes for local families.

Every piece of land donated or sold below market value is an investment in stronger communities and brighter futures. These partnerships make affordable homeownership possible for families who might otherwise be priced out of the communities they love.
