Programs

Essex County Habitat for Humanity has two programs to help families in need of decent, safe and affordable housing:

Through the Habitat Homeownership Program, qualifying families who are unable to afford a traditional mortgage, partner with us to build and purchase their own home. Instead of a down payment, they work sweat equity hours alongside our volunteers to help build their home. 

In the new Critical Home Repair Program, we use volunteers, donated product and flexible payment terms to make repairs affordable, helping low-income homeowners continue to live independently and securely in their homes.
