Group Volunteering Opportunities

Schools and Faith Groups are integral to our volunteer family. We welcome these groups to our build sites and reserve Saturdays for schools and our faith community.  You could even set up a recurring Saturday build day.   In our ReStore, you could set up a one-time group visit to help with projects in the store.  Inquire here and learn how you can volunteer with us.

Corporate Team Building Groups are a great way to get involved and support local affordable housing.  Learn more here.

Other Groups – do you have another type of group you want to get involved with Habitat?  Email our Volunteer Coordinator to learn about the ways you can get involved.

Age requirement

The minimum age is 16.
(more specifics below based on where you will be volunteering)

Scheduling at Build Sites

Our Volunteer Coordinator will work with you to schedule a mutually agreeable time (typically Saturdays for our school and faith groups and Tuesdays or Fridays for Corporate Team Builds) based on the construction schedule and locations available at the time of your request. The schedule can vary depending on project timelines, but a typical workday is from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Volunteers between the ages of 16 and 17 will be required to have a chaperone and may be limited to what work they can complete on-site and what sites are available.

Scheduling at the ReStore

The ReStore is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. Volunteer shifts are a minimum of 2 hours, but you are welcome to schedule longer shifts as convenient to your schedule.

Volunteers between the ages of 16 and 17 should connect with our Volunteer Coordinator to inquire about availability and our chaperone policy.
