Youth Volunteering Opportunities

While volunteers must be 16 or older to participate at one of build sites or ReStores, there are still many ways for youth to get involved with Habitat for Humanity!

Ways to help:

  • Prepare lunch for a volunteer group. Everyone loves food, and what better way to thank our volunteers than a bagged lunch! Volunteers who wish to participate by supplying lunch to the crew can pick an active build day or days that works best for them. Volunteers are welcome to stay for lunch with the crew and learn more about Habitat!
  • Organize donations drive within your neighborhood or community. Our ReStores are always looking for donated household items or building materials. This is a great way to support the ReStores and Habitat’s mission while cleaning out some unwanted items!
  • Other suggestions on ways to get youth involved with Habitat for Humanity are always encouraged. Please reach out to our volunteer coordinator with any further suggestions at volunteer@essexcoutyhabitat.org.
