Since moving into her Habitat home in Hamilton, Lauren says life has taken on a whole new meaning. “Having our own home has been amazing,” she shared. “Being able to come home every day and walk through our door is truly a dream come true.”
The transition from living with family to having a place of her own has brought exciting changes for Lauren and her daughters. Their days are now filled with new routines—cooking meals together, decorating for holidays, and enjoying the simple joy of having their own bedrooms.
Lauren’s girls couldn’t be happier. They love coming home, spending time together, and inviting friends over to their house. “Seeing the smiles on their faces every day makes everything worth it,” Lauren said.
Their new neighborhood has also been a gift. Nestled in the quiet beauty of Hamilton, their home offers a peaceful, small-town feel surrounded by nature. “When I look out the windows, I feel truly blessed,” Lauren shared. “This is our home—and I get to see it every day.”

Houses of worship have always been loyal supporters of Habitat for Humanity and we'd like to express our appreciation to First Religious Society Unitarian Universalist in Newburyport, Old North Church in Marblehead and South Church in Andover. Their recent generous donations enable us to fulfill our mission and bring safe, stable housing within reach for families who need it most. We are deeply grateful for their partnership and commitment to serving others.
Cars For Homes
"We chose Habitat for Humanity because my father really loved your work and he supported it. At his memorial I played “I Can See Clearly Now” by Johnny Nash with the distinct line ‘There's the rainbow I've been looking for.’ On Father’s Day after he had passed, a double rainbow formed over my town.
"Not long after that my wife totaled her car. We found this Honda Civic and wondered if it was a good deal. We wished my father was still alive to advise us (he was a mechanic). Just as we wondered this aloud, a rainbow formed over the road touching it. So, we got the Honda and named it Blue Monkey.
“When we picked up Dad's ashes and got back in the car, ‘I Can See Clearly Now’ came on the radio.
“Blue has been a dependable car and both my sons learned to drive using Blue. I think my dad would have done the same. My hope is Blue can help someone."
