Habitat homeowners get keys to new homes

In the past month, three families received the keys to their Habitat homes in Salisbury. Becky and Fran will now be able to provide stability for their grand-nephew Tyler after years of expensive rentals. Willy is so happy to be relieved of the stress that comes with unstable housing and is proud that he and his children live in a house that he built with his own two hands. And Jessica will be able to contemplate taking the next steps toward her future.

It is only through the support of donors and volunteers, like you, that these families are able to now have a decent place to live. We, and they, are forever grateful.

Got land?

At Essex County Habitat for Humanity, to be able to continue our mission of building strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter, we need land on which to build that shelter. If you know of someone who may be interested in donating land or if you know a local town planner who may have connections to town owned land, we'd love an introduction. Please contact Executive Director, Meegan O'Neil so that we can continue to build homes and futures for families in Essex County.

Thank you for your support

A special thank you to our friends at Eastern Bank for their recent generous gift to support affordable homeownership through Essex County Habitat for Humanity!

Ferrick Bros. Moving Company recently donated this truck so a huge thank you to them. The ReStore will put this to good use.

And many thanks to everyone who supported us on a build site or at a ReStore this month including these groups:

South Church

Bentley University

Brandeis University & Endicott College

North Parish & Parish of the Epiphany

Academy at Penguin Hall

First Church & Christ Church
