Your support has a lasting positive impact on families’ lives for generations to come. Families like Kim’s who, along with twelve other families, waiting on us to complete their homes. Kim shares her Habitat story and what it will mean to become a homeowner:

Meet Kim and her daughters, future Wenham homeowners.

Kim tells us that she and her family are beyond grateful for the opportunity gifted to them by Habitat for Humanity.

For years, Kim has dedicated her life to caring and providing for her children, which has come with, understandably come with many challenges. As a full-time single mother, Kim has placed the needs of her children first, nurturing, supporting, and instilling strong morals.

Her youngest daughter, Daynah (9), has become very fond of horses. She aspires to own her own stable, where she can rescue horses and give them a forever home. She is very inquisitive, reading books to expand upon her knowledge of the animal. Kim’s second youngest, Capria (14), is beginning her education at a technical school, practicing dentistry or nursing. She looks forward to caring for the health of others. Capria participates in several sports, including volleyball, basketball, and softball. Her third daughter, Bryce (21), is a senior in college. She is studying law and economics. Upon graduation, she plans to attend law school, becoming an advocate for Children and Families and aspires to be the Governor of Massachusetts one day. Kim’s eldest is Ashley (31), who currently resides with the family, as she continues to build upon her health with a team of doctors. She has a well-established career as a hair and makeup artist for Universal Studios and celebrities. She has brought the festivities of the season into their home, with her makeup creations. As for Kim, she is an administrator and a mom. It has been a dream come true for her, knowing that her children and she will have a place to call home. Kim says that “Habitat has provided more than a future home; it has also granted me the opportunity to meet wonderful people in which I look forward to working beside for years to come”.  We are truly delighted to know that Kim and her family are going to be better, and stronger for the gift of a home, that has been able to offer them. Every holiday, as this year has shown us, is definitely safer at home.

Help us celebrate the holiday season by ensuring that all families have an opportunity — just like Kim is — to purchase a safe, decent place to call home. Your gift will help us ring in the new year and get a running start for 2021 so we can partner with even more families across Essex County, creating lasting stability and safety for everyone in our community.
